My parents have been here for about a week. Hence no posting, just fun having! They left this morning. It is always fun to spend time with them. I've had a few friends lately who have had parents pass away so I cherish having them visit, even if it means I am on a tiny twin air mattress (which is tight quarters when you have two cats sleeping at your feet).
We mostly relaxed but squeezed in a few outings around the island, including the Saturday farmer's market and a windswept attempt to see whales at South Beach. No whales seen, boo..., I'm determined to see some this year!
Here's a synopsis of our week via photos. Enjoy.

Some of our hunted treasures. That purple one is the first I have ever found. It is quite rare! |
We cooked up the lavender & goat cheese ravioli's I had from the farmer's market post. We added fresh asparagus, broccoli blossoms, red pepper, & heirloom tomatoes in a brown butter sauce. |
Always add cheese! Freshly grated Romano. |
Hanging in Roche Harbor. |
It's so beautiful here in Roche Harbor. I'm so lucky to live & work here! |
Dinner at Cask & Schooner in Friday Harbor the last nite. |
Doris has packed herself. Take me with you Grandma & Grandpa! |
